Yes lives in the Land of No

Business and life have many moments where we need to improvise with a “yes, and”.
The other part that is important to know?

When to say "no".

There is a difference between "yes, and" thinking and knowing when and how to say "no."

"Yes, and” is a pillar of improvisation. It's the acceptance principle. If you step on stage and someone says you've been transformed into a sloth on a scooter, then you accept it as truth. It a transfer of information that keeps the scene moving forward. {albeit slowly...because... it's a sloth... 🙃🦥}

Can "no" be guided through a "yes, and" approach?
Totally! 🤩 "Yes, that is a great idea, and let me give you the contact information for someone I know that excels at that work!"

There are times as a business leader, creative, and even parent, when you have to ensure the daily tasks stay aligned with your purpose and mission.

Innovation certainly requires improvisation. Just remember that when you say "no" to something you are remaining intentional with who serve, the people you employ, and the purpose of your organization.

Even more-so, ✨ you are leaving room for something aligned even better for you and your business.✨

Yes lives in the land of no. 🔥

Grateful for time with fellow visionaries like dear friend, Adventurepreneur, CEO of IMUA OLA, Andrea Schwarz who see the power that comes from helping our clients recognize that "yes, and" can have even more impact when you understand how to say "no".
